I’m Johan Höppener, a Dutch writer with an MA in anthropology. I write poems, stories and essays about how words meet the world — coastlines at low tide, small acts of care, rooms where people try to make sense together. I cut more than I keep, favouring clean lines and sound in service of sense. I’m at work on my first novel, where the ordinary brushes against the unreal. If any line of mine keeps you company, I’m grateful.
